Welcome!


The Detroit Boat Club offers club-owned sailboats (Flying Scots) which are available for recreational use by any certified member. Sailing lessons are available for members who wish qualify for their skipper’s card.   We also have available for teaching purposes RS-21 sailboats.

Sailing classes are designed for both the novice who has never been in a sailboat as well as for sailors with some experience who want to learn how to sail on their own. Contact us for more information at learntosail@detroitboatclub.com

Beginning Classes
          Wednesday Evenings 6:00 pm to dusk
                  Session 1:  May 11 to July 13
                  Session 2:  July 27 to Sept 28

Intermediate Classes
           Monday Evenings 6:00 pm to dusk
                May 16 to June 27
                No classes Memorial Day
